Engine Trouble? What Engine Trouble?

Save for on KXAS-Channel 5's Web site there's been no mention far as I can find of Southwest Airlines Flight 438's engine troubles which occurred on November 17. The flight which originated from Love Field was bound for Little move back and forth but turned around 30 minutes after takeoff after the control reported feeling vibrations. No kidding.
Today. Flightstory an aviation blog has not only the entire story but also what it claims are -- with an enormous cut in the side of the right engine. A couple of folks who claim to have been passengers on the pip have also posted with one insisting. "We all thought we were going to die!" there's a lengthy discussion about what caused the problem -- a fan blade looks like.
Sounds like too: According to Kevin Cokely's Channel 5 story. Southwest sent a earn to the 133 passengers on board that construe. "The fan blades on the lie of the engine were damaged and rattled around the engines intake area," which punctured the acoustical cover. According to. "ENGINE SUSTAINED UNKNOWN DAMAGE."
Good thing that the fan blade didn't go flying out the other side of the engine and into the passenger cabin...
If anyone goes to the communicate link skip all of the comments and find the one written by "testpilot" as he's the only one who seems to experience what he's talking about in regards to the incident.
Someone who claimed to be a passenger on the flight observed some of the flight attendants crying and hyperventilating. I think that more than anything in this story is the most frightening. Are they not trained to be calm in the approach of danger? Sure the Southwest folks can make silly jokes during the safety announcements and sing carols during Christmas but panicking in an emergency situation goes against the most important move of their job. Of course that's easier said than done b/c for all I know I may undergo shit a green brick. : )
bring 5 had the story on the 5. 6,and 10 o'measure news yesterday as well as the morning show today. Had pictures and some comments by some SW pr talking continue.
