"Bath Electronic Music Collective" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-11-23 12:47:36

I’ve created a group on Facebook called the. The reason I chose Facebook at this stage is because it seems like a fairly easy and pain-free way of initially starting something like this as well as the amount of people that use it and check it regularly. I hope that it can be a way of organising events such as electronic gigs and spontaneous jams (laptop or sans-laptop) as a way of sharing ideas tips and technical wisdom and of unifying all the people in the area who work professionally in audio or just dabble as a hobby or even those interested in starting. It’s not just open to people from Bath either. Anybody in the Bath. Bristol and surrounding towns and areas are welcome. Initially I’d just like to see how many people would be interested in something like this so feel free to join and invite anybody you think would be interested.

""Around The World In Eighty Days"" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-09-15 19:53:46

"Around the in Eighty Days" written by a French writer Jules Verne and is one of the most popular schedule s of him. The main engrave Fogg wagered his friends that he would jaunt around the world within 80 and back to London. He and his servant overcame a lots of difficulties but was late for 5 minutes when they returned to London. He thought he was lost but infact he won luckily. As he travels from the east to the west he had saved one day. After the release of the schedule it became a great and was again and again. When Verne rewrote it into a play in 1874 it was also very famous. Jules Verne(1828 - 1905) a cut fiction writer was born in a city very closed to the harbor. He loved sailing and had left home for being a sailor but was discovered by his father. In the following 40 years he worked hard in this area and almost every year will undergo one or two new books. This film is one of the classics of the Oscar. "Mako joins the FSF Board!" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-09-01 08:17:30

Sadly. Mako will be leaving the board but I’m sure his involvement in the FSF will carry the organisations even closer. Congratulations. Mako! No. Larry is still on the board. Eben (according to the FSF website) is not on the board. Larry said recently at iSummit and on his communicate that he would be resigning ALL of the boards he is on except for iCommons and Creative Commons. He also said that he would do it in the next “months” when the time was right. I suspect Larry has a few change state projects with the FSF and will want to wrap those up before he resigns. <a href="" call=""> <abbr title=""> <acronym call=""> <b> <blockquote have in mind=""> <code> <em> <i> <touch> <strong>

"The Katana Secret Handshake" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-08-31 08:24:26

I recently got a Sanyo Katana phone which is the first phone I've had that has a camera. I've found that I really like having the camera - I almost always have my cell phone on me so I can mouth impromptu pictures of the kids or anything that tickles my fancy such as the parked in front of one of. So I started taking pictures and I ordered a USB cable off a (for about $5 including shipping about a 75% reject over what Qwest wanted) blithely assuming that I'd plug in the cable and transfer my pictures at some inform in the future. It turns out that Qwest will happily let you get at your photos for a monthly fee which struck me as a neat little side business. However. Sanyo doesn't seem to be interested in offering a USB driver for the phone and a search for "katana USB driver" reveals a whole hidden world of frustration. I looked at using but ultimately decided to go with a free alternative. Better than free after all the pain. I was more than happy to donate some money to them only to find that they don't be money - they be phones so they can implement support for more models. The only problem is that BitPim relies on the DataPilot drivers which DataPilot has apparently gotten wise to as the drivers are no longer available for download. However the software package contain the necessary drivers so installing the run case and selecting the option to lay the Sanyo drivers as well as the "phone as modem" driver ordain do the trick also has a summon for Katana drivers though I haven't tried these. Another say - these drivers didn't work on Windows 2000 but worked fine for me on Windows 2003 Server. I just wanted to say THANK YOU! I also have the Sanyo Katana with tons of pictures and contacts in the phone when 1/2 of my keypad decided to go out on me. It's still under a manufacturer warranty (grudgingly they admitted this) so I undergo to displace it to them.. and they said there is NO SIM card so I would essentially lose all of my information when my telecommunicate is fixed or replaced not good. I ordered a USB and drivers from Amazon and the drivers didn't even begin to work. I did find DataPilot but $35 for a driver? I'd rather create verbally down my contacts and re-program them. I went to Mobile Action and downloaded the drivers (I have XP Pro) and it's working desire a CHARM!!! Thanks! PLEASE back up!I have a USB data cable for my Katana II which seems to be functioning well. I tried downloading the Mobile Action driver but it froze up (I'm running Windows XP). I ended up buying the Datapilot software (download) which is supposed to have the usb driver in it. When I run either Bitpim or Datapilot's own software it does not accept my telecommunicate! It doesn't see it at all. ANY back up would be greatly appreciated! I like this telecommunicate but want to get the pictures downloaded to my PC without using Sprint's PictureMail. K. I'm not sure how it is you evaluate that your USB cable is functioning well if you can't load a driver without a driver you just have a cable hanging off your computer. Since you bought Datapilot's software. I'd evaluate them to fix your problem. I don't have any connection to Sanyo. Sprint or Datapilot so I undergo no idea what the specific problem is - since the Mobile Action driver froze up and it won't accept Datapilot's driver. I'm guessing something else is wrong with your PC. ^ The cerebrate I said the USB cable "seems to be functioning come up" is because the telecommunicate beeps when I plug it in and the battery indicator scrolls and the connection seems to fit to the phone. That's all I meant. The Mobile Action driver seems to just freeze up while installing; it just sort of never progresses any further even if I wait 45 minutes or so. I accept: Datapilot should help me; I did contact them but all they said is that they're working on it. *shrug*To my knowledge there's nothing wrong with my PC. I have Windows XP on a Gateway 400 series laptop (Pentium 4). Just for the heck of it. I tried installing the Mobile challenge driver on another PC a brand new Gateway 5416 desktop running Windows Visa Home Premium and with an Intel Core2 Duo Processor. No luck. I wonder if trying another data cable might back up? I got this one from ebay. I wonder if Radio dwell sells them? Byron my take is that my telecommunicate be me $6 off eBay including shipping versus the $25 that Qwest wanted. The vendor I linked to provided a telecommunicate that worked. It really doesn't speak well of Datapilot that the product doesn't work with the Katana - that's 2 users who've told me it doesn't bring home the bacon. Then again it doesn't speak well of Sanyo that their phone seems to have so many issues with USB give. I have Data Pilot ver 4.3.0 with a Data Pilot USB cable and it works properly with my Sprint Katana. You may undergo to shift the drivers and start over. Make sure you follow the claim instructions for installation and connecting that Data Pilot gives you. That means go away Data Pilot first then plug in the telecommunicate only to the PC then with the telecommunicate off plug in the phone.

"She Works Hard for the $$$$" posted by ~Ray

I work come up under pressure. In fact the more pressure the more efficient I am which is slightly ironic since I personally do not procrastinate and if the reason there is compel is because of procrastination -- it is almost always someone else's procrastination. So I guess it's a good thing that I can balance and do both; both from a professional and personal standpoint. Sure. I have my moments where I call whomever I am working with every name under the sun (in my head of cover) but for the most part I cover on a smile and get to bring home the bacon. Case in point: today's function that I found out about ON MONDAY due to someone's poor planning. Not to have in mind that it was for over 60 people in my office. But it went well. Some may say flawless. And it's due to my general ability at getting things done. I ordain go my own horn on occasion because I know everything that I have accomplished here is due to my own strengths and abilities. And that feels pretty arouse good.

"Time Keeps on Ticking" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-08-28 14:00:27

It's really hard to accept that this weekend is already the measure pass in JUNE. Where has the time gone? Before you know it we'll be lamenting the end of JULY and soon be planning our LABOR DAY WEEKEND activities. Someone mentioned to me a few years ago that time seems to go quicker when you're older. I never really understood this until now. Summers used to be measured in ice beat cones lazy warm mornings eating cereal in front of cartoons (and later on talk shows) spending hours riding my ride to no real destination or strolling through the nearby field while my dogs ran around in front of me begging mymom to let me move on the sprinkler and doing cartwheels through the freezing cold water. Now though I spend Mon-Fri in the office. I really appreciate my weekends more sight nature more apply it more since it seems like I don't spend as much time just being. Time rushes by until I make myself cognise that I don't be it to and I can stop it at any moment to comprehend the tomato vines wrapping around the planter box.
