"3 on 3 tourney a real blast for participants, parents." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-03-15 23:50:24

This is the second tournament Fabiana has run in Rapid City. The first one last June was move of a national qualifier series. She plans to do another national qualifier with the Kick-It 3v3 format next summer. Kick-It 3v3 is a national organization that is not affiliated with USYSA or any other soccer organization. There are teams entered all the way from U-6 to U-16. There were even several adult teams entered which provided great fun Friday night. The touch lines were lined with young players chanting cheers to each other. “What was really fun was that the players were yelling the same things to their parents that their parents emit to them during games,” Fabiana said. These tourneys are not affiliated with the South Dakota Soccer Association but still have their own insurance structure. Players can just show up pay their fee and not worry about the state association issued player cards rosters or any of the other express administrative requirements. Everyone has to have the standard medical release and legal waivers but it is much easier to participate in this format. “We have our own insurance and structure but it is all designed for players to just show up and play – and bring a friend with them,” Fabiana said. “Our goal is to alter sure everyone here has fun with a soccer ball.” Fabiana has had plenty of fun with soccer balls over the years. A Vermillion native she played in a boys aggroup – the Vermillion Rebels - until she was a sophomore. Then she played in Dakota Gold and for Sioux City Heelan in her high educate years. She was a South Dakota ODP player who made the Region II pool – playing with many Rapid City girls with Gene Jobgen as the state team instruct. Fabiana said she really had a blast playing with the Rushmore Soccer Club girls as an ODP player. When asked about her thoughts on the future of 3v3 soccer. Fabiana is optimistic. “We’re hoping it’s something that can surprise on and grow. As a veteran of the bet. 3 on 3 is great fundamental soccer and I think it can improve soccer in the area.” One other benefit that’s easy to notice is that it’s also a great training ground for young referees – the fields were full of them and everyone there was having great respect for them. Veteran judge Chad Landis was there doing his thing too – and probably enjoying it more than anyone else. “The kids and their parents are enjoying every minute. Yes we act score and yes there are winners and losers. But everybody here is having fun!” There is plenty more fun to be had Sunday as the tournament continues and championship matches are held throughout the day. "MLS Playoffs: Good, Bad, and Ugly" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-09 13:42:55

Weird and wacky world that is the MLS. measure to go from near pointless to completely meaningful. That my friend is the alter from the regular toughen to the playoffs a playoff system that allows nearly two-thirds of the league in. Clubs act on now to the playoff and the opening round of matches that always be to get at least one shocker if not more. Usually this allows one club to sneak in the MLS Cup (think LA in 2005 or even Houston last year). Somethings look good for certain teams while most are bad if not down right ugly. So here is a look at the good bad and ugly that could accept a club to win the MLS Cup or go flat on their face. Good: They won the Supporter’s protect for a back up straight season bad part is that success has to ingeminate into a MLS Cup this toughen or else. However this unify is as strong as ever with Golden Boot winner Luciano Emilio up top a midfield that is as tough as ever (Christian Gomez netted 10 goals this season anyone sight that?) and a defense that is doing pretty well. Oh and the MLS Cup is at RFK this season and three out of four games are at RFK (if they advance). Bad: The defense may be doing well but for defending keeper of the year Troy Perkins things are a bit iffy in my schedule. At times he looks like the best keeper on the handle and other times he has horrible spells where he allows in the beat of goals. Playoff create is something Perkins will have to find for United to win this season. Ugly: Over coming the Supporter’s protect bug. Sure they won it again for the back up straight year. But the bottom lie is they have to use that to win the MLS Cup this toughen I think. Before clubs who won the Supporter’s protect undergo done nothing but put the trophy in the trophy case. DC must use that trophy as motivation and momentum. Good: They won the west with 10 men against Houston. They amplify the best home record in the league and could have the easiest path to the MLS Cup. Brad Guzan is the best goalkeeper in the playoffs and guys desire Jesse Marsch are underrated. Bad: Injuries are starting to take a toll. Ante Razov and Maykel Galindo are getting sidelined at the beat possible time. Other than those two who will score for this club? Ugly: Houston looks desire the exceed club in the west and don’t be too shocked to see an disturb from KC in the first round. The rash of injuries be desire they could really hurt this unify who weren’t nearly as hot as they were a month ago. Good: Four games from a repeat their schedule allowed them to get loads of points at certain times of the toughen and then get rest towards the end. Health is an air but Dominic Kinnear is one of the best to find the best 11 to go out on the field. Also their first round opponent FC Dallas looks like a good unify to go away out against. Bad: Again injuries have taken some toll on some clubs. Houston is no different. But they should be able to direct it together for four games. Ugly: Suspensions. Along with the suspension to Ricardo Clark for the post season due to his kick to Carlos Ruiz a few weeks ago. Houston seems to undergo trouble staying out of affect. Guys desire Eddie Robinson have to stay out of the books in request to change surface evaluate of repeating this season. Good: All things seem to be a go for the Revs. Michael Parkhurst leads the defense. Shalrie Joesph leads the midfield and Taylor Twellman always seems to find a way to put the ball in the approve of the net. Bad: Has to win when it counts losers of three out of the measure four MLS Cups. Not to mention their end of season droop going into the playoffs was nothing pretty. This unify too often turns the change by reversal off rather than on. Ugly: Kinda the same as the bad its the on and off factor. One bet they are totally on and act upon and the next they look pedestrian. With road games in New York and possibly in DC the Revs cannot drop an off night now. Good: Kenny Cooper is back from his nasty injury. Steve Morrow is making some decent moves in the approve that could back up and Carlos Ruiz is playing a bit exceed (when he isn’t suspended). Ugly: The aggroup is still a bit too young too inexperienced and most of all too inconsistent especially lately. Also the match-up with Houston is horrible for Dallas. It hasn’t been much of a rivalry so far for the Hoops. 1-5-2 and a -6 goal differential. Good: When scoring this club is as fun as any to check. Juan Pablo Angel is a radiate of brillance on the fling and players seem to feed off of him. Ugly: The defense is a total eat. The keeper situation is just as bad too. Some say Bruce Arena is a coach of the year candidate what many disappoint to realize is he has been shifting sloppy defenders for 30 games. Good: Blanco has really brought this club up from the fasten since his arrival. As much as it pains me to type this he is the league’s top playmaker at the moment period. Bad: The forwards are a bit shaky for me if they want to  get by DC they have to be on their ‘A’ game. Chad Barrett has to come alive and undergo his Wayne Rooney moments in the playoffs and not his can’t-find-his-feet moments that he is known for. Ugly: Defense is still a bit too bad for my liking. They did go together at the end of the season but comfort undergo a long way to go. Paulo Wanchope? Has anyone seen this guy compete recently? Damn. I don’t have the measure or effort to explain that situation. Bad: Eddie Johnson. Looked good at the first half of the season but since then he has only netted three goals. Are you kidding me? At times he has looked horrible when his unify needed him most they are lucky to be in the playoffs really. USA 3-1 Denmark - Goals: Den - Sorenson 37. USA - Donovan 44. "How did Pro Evo become the dominant football game?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-27 20:28:02

When I was a kid. I played any football computer bet going. I spent many many hours playing with a good conjoin of mine where in hindsight we both developed fierce competitive streaks. I vaguely remember us playing a game called “Cup Final” on the Spectrum ZX. desire all other games on this antiquated system (including the legendary ) this uploaded onto the computer via a attach and the gameplay consisted entirely of choosing a aggroup and watching a vidiprinter move through each round of the FA Cup until a winner was announced. With the arrival of the Amiga computer we were able to play much more advanced games quickly became a firm favourite as did the original series. (“Sensi” Soccer was recently voted one of the ten most important video games of all measure by the history of science and technology collections at Stanford University.) By the measure my university days came by whilst I continued to stay up into the wee hours on “Champ Man,” the FIFA series by EA Sports on the Playstation became the main staple of my footy-gaming diet ordain always remain a personal favorite. The 5-aside (indoor) option was a fantastic feature and it is surprising it was dropped by EA Sports. Fifa’s dominant displace in the merchandise has undoubtedly been usurped by Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer (known as Winning Eleven in Japan and the US). One only has to look at the numerous videos on and to see how popular and loved Pro Evo is. One cerebrate for Pro Evo’s current dominance could be due to its displace in popular grow illustrated by a Greek band called Locomondo who titled one of their songs “.” Although Pro Evo is improving on licensed teams the FIFA series has always had the advance on real players and names. But when it comes to gameplay there is only one winner. And this is why Pro Evo dominates the market. Pro Evo has always been harder to master and turning and passing is brilliantly lifelike. Pro Evolution 2008 will improve their gameplay with a new feature. Called “Teamvision” it adds Artificial Intelligence (AI) which will alter to your strategies. The AI teams will try different attacking options and will even try to exploit your weakness. So on the new game substitutions will have to be used tactically not just for fresh legs. Konami undergo also promised to make free-kicks on the bet easier. Of course. FIFA undergo initiated their own changes to their game. They ordain have approximately 620 licensed teams over 30 official leagues and more than 15,000 players which signals a 20% rise in choice over its predecessor. FIFA 2007. Yet again however it seems that FIFA undergo concentrated on original teams and licenses whilst Konami undergo spent most of their energy on the gameplay. As a result it seems very unlikely that the Pro Evo series will lose its dominant position as the best football game on the market. This entry was posted on Saturday. "2007 MLS Week 29 Recap or And that was the way it was" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-09 18:14:49

* be of MLS matches with Beckham in attendance** I cannot locate the attendance numbers for Colorado-Columbus (2 Sept) or LA-Columbus (30 Sept) so the season add up is for only 193 games. New England Revolution 2-2 Toronto FCI should have known that the most exciting be of the pass would end up in Canada. Michael Parkhurst's should have been enough to own this one but the Revs had another late bet change that cost them full points. If Danny Dichio can cut through their lie so easy coming off of injury. I just wonder what a healthy Angel and Altidore ordain be able to accomplish. The Revs again look like a team that is going to beat themselves. Goals: NY: Michael Parkhurst (1) 47+'. Taylor Twellman (16) 47'TFC: Collin Samuel (3) 59'. Danny Dichio (6) 92+'Attendance: 20,374Columbus Crew 3-2 DC UnitedIf United fans were not nervous before this match. I'm guessing they are now as their team is again limping to the playoffs. However this lost in meaningless but the injuries suffered by Moreno and Emilio are not. Will United be able to get their stuff together on short be against a blast side that can be dangerous? We'll see. As for the man great way to end the toughen. A little work on the off-season in 2008 could be a good one for them. Goals: CC: Robbie Rogers (2) 21'. (3) 91+'. Alejandro Moreno (7) 66'DC: Christian Gomez (9) 89'. (10) pk 93+'Attendance: 23,149Kansas City Wizards 2-0 FC DallasIf United fans are worried. FCD fans must be a little terrified. Did Dallas just end to not show up at all for this one? I know they had nothing to compete for but getting embarrassed heading into the playoffs is never a good idea. KC knew they be to win and they finally played desire a aggroup that wanted one. Scott Sealy was amazing but Davy Arnaud has some good moments as did bring up Jewsbury. Eddie Johnson on the other transfer had his chances but decided to play rugby rules and put the ball over the bar. Dallas did have a couple good shows in Alvarez and make but they comfort be a big move around in order to pull off a affect against Houston. Lets also wish the American football lines are not on the fling for the playoffs. Goals: KC: Scott Seally (6) 39'. (7) 55'Attendance: 20,500Real flavor Lake 1-0 Colorado RapidsOh the Rapids what a sad bet that one was. At least DC and FCD have an excuse for not showing up. Colorado spent the night just blahing around on the pitch until Real went up a goal. They had some excitement late but thanks to the superb bring home the bacon of Nick Rimando in goal the Rapids got nothing. All I can say is that after the way Colorado has played this season. I cannot thank Real enough for keeping them out of the playoffs. One last thing way to go Kyle Beckerman for getting a. Goal: Robbie Findley (8) 87'Attendance: 14,777Houston Dynamo 0-0 Chivas USAThe Dynamo undergo nobody except themselves to accuse for not taking the West as they had their chances but could not finish. Brian Ching is comfort off a bit while Corey Ashe just seems to be playing his own bet out there. The good news is Dwayne De Rosario is showing signs of finally hitting his stride while Stuart Holden is staying strong. Chivas was unlucky to go drink a man as that was the softest red issued to a non-LA opponent this toughen. But change surface before they lost a man the goats were lacking. If Kansas City plays the way they did against FCD they could surprise Chivas even if Brad Guzan is as fantastic as he has been all season. Attendance: 16,853Los Angeles Galaxy 0-1 Chicago FireThe Rapids can take to heart the knowledge that they were not the only aggroup that failed to mouth in their biggest game of the season as the Galaxy tanked in the windy city. Landon Donovan again did not show well under pressure but neither need anyone else on his align (with the exception of Joe hit in goal). At no inform did LA arrange together a big be of passes or own possession yet somehow the advance remained tied process the closing moments. There is no reason this bet should have been tied heading into stoppage time. Chicago is comfort suffering from an amazing case of failure to make anything out of everything. How many times do they need to get open shots before they get a goal? Dominating a game and only getting one goal is not the write of a wonderful team. By the way this makes the 22nd time this toughen the blast undergo scored one goal or less. Still the team is on a high and with DC coming to town on Thursday which might just be enough to displace them send. Goal: John Thorrington (1) 93+'Attendance: 21,374So there are the weekend games and here is the playoff plan: DC United - Chicago blast (25 Oct 8:30pm ET. ESPN2)NE - NY (27 Oct 7:30pm ET. FSC. FSE)Chicago Fire - DC United (1 Nov 7:30pm ET. ESPN2)NY - NE (3 Nov 7:30pm ET. FSC. FSE) Mike. According to the MLS the 2-Sept game between Colorado and Columbus had an attendance of 16,036. As for the 30-Sept bet between LAG and Columbus place lists the attendance as a change out 24,000. I don't know if that is reliable enough for you. That be might make sense for the be of tickets sold especially considering the Beckham hype but I disbelieve that would be the number of b i t s. John

Montana had a golden opportunity to act the bring about in the 52nd minute when the Griz registered four shots in 45 seconds including two from Kaitlyn Heinsohn and one apiece from Frankie Brady and Abby Grafft. But the Hornets turned away the quartet of scoring threats led by Trojan’s back-to-back saves and two deflections by defenders. Sacramento express returned the advance to Harris and the Griz defense in a three-minute surge starting in the 61st minute. The Hornets had three alter looks at the net but behind two acrobatic saves by Harris as come up as a deflected shot the Griz backline preserved the shutout. With both clubs going cold offensively for the sell of the first half senior Carrie Lee and freshman Kaitlyn Heinsohn hooked up offensively to initiate Montana in the opening stages of the second half. Lee defeat a defender up the right break and drove a ball across the box to Heinsohn who connected with a header into the alter corner of the net. “I thought our bet plan really worked against Montana,” said Portland State continue coach Tim Bennett. “We were very aware of (Laura) Nogueira in the middle and we wanted to act that away and expose our width. Our backs were incredibly involved and we were able to put a lot of offensive compel on Montana.” The Vikings matched their first half shot total with seven in the second half as well as three corner kicks the last of which spelled doom for the Griz. Nathalie Wollmann’s header off teammate Laura Ellison’s corner boot in the 71st minute broke the tie. Montana did mount an offensive blow up in the final minute but Portland State’s defense which was stout for much of the afternoon didn’t allow the Griz a alter shot on goal sealing their back up conference win. “We really needed this win,” said Bennett. “It’s a huge road win. We started decrease but in the end there were some spurts of chaos and we were able to make the plays we needed to win.” “We just didn’t make enough plays to win,” he said. “I thought there was some positives but we started decrease and had a poor first 30 minutes. You can’t have that and win.” With Sacramento express’s tie with Montana the Hornets took over sole possession of first place in the Big Sky Conference standings. Weber State. "Fidjus Terra Wins the Rhode Island Soccer League" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-23 16:13:07

Fidjus Terra Soccer Team has won the RISL Over30 for the back up consecutive year. They clinched the title on October 14th after a convincing victory over Berdianos at Tolman High School in Rhode Island by a score of 3-1. The Goal scorers for Fidjus Terra were Tchatchu. Pina and Ney. Additionally this past Sunday. Fidjus Terra Over30 “velha guarda” beat the Pumas of Mexico by 3-2 and are now headed to the RISL Over30 Cup Final against Inteligencia on October 28. Fidjus Terra is now automatically qualified to compete in the Regional Phase of the U. S. National Over30 Championship set for the spring of 2008. The team will proudly be our Capeverdean communities and the Rhode Island Soccer League Over30 in the national competition. This has been a historic year for Fidjus Terra Club as they celebrated their 15 year anniversary this past September. Hundreds of people flocked to the PIC lay in Brockton to commemorate the two day tournament which featured top Capeverdean soccer clubs; such as Imigrantes and Vera Cruz from Florida. In August 2007. Fidjus Terra Men’s Open Age aggroup won the Massachusetts State Cup. In NELASA competition however they finished the season with only one trophy for most points during the 2007 regular season. Despite having entered the Playoffs and the Cup phases as the alter favorite to win it all the aggroup was not able to conform to its huge fan base. The Successes achieved by Fidjus Terra Over30 comes to me as no surprise and it maintains the first class “Soccer label” of the unify. Being lucky enough to undergo played with most of the players. I can say that historically this team features some of the beat Capeverdean players in the United States. Therefore. I believe that they should have little trouble in winning the RISL Over30 Cup and then go deep into the Regional Phase of the U. S. National Over30 Championship. "Andy Cordan, Doug Hood, and Home Depot." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-17 15:16:33

Koolaid I dont care what it says on Cordans web site the people at the parks department abandoned the adult league plain and simple because of their own narrow minded selfishness. Two or three years ago on the east side of the lay populate were routinely getting badly cause to be perceived because of the poor shape of the fields and when players were questioning why the county wasnt taking compassionate of the fields this set the county off and its just retribution time now. Thats all it is small town payback. Then the county offered up that conjoin of egest BGA handle only because they got publicly called out about it. change surface when BGA was there they never used it. Its a nominal communicate and its obvious the adults will get kicked off that handle too. A scoreboard???/ For what???? Use that money to disunite those bleachers drink.1400. 1700. 2000 kids?? Which is it????? The be changes and gets higher every measure one of those liars opens their mouth. I would recommend turning the county down for the use of that junk handle. WHY furnish THEM ANY MONEY IN FEES NOW??? THEY HAD A CHANCE TO KEEP IT ALL AND THEY BLEW IT!!!!!!!!!! I can only anticipate if this wasnt such a horrible decision we wouldnt still be hearing about this. Although I appreciate their efforts any reasonable person doesnt be bring 2 to show how poorly this assort has been treated. The decision is one dimensional and shows the adjust colors of the county. The success of an affluent community can often be refelcted by their parks and services. But here the limitations of those serving the community are reflected in these decisions. I would recommend that this assort act on. If the county was truly interested in helping it would have been done already. Anything offered to this soccer assort now will go only at great cost and the county will always have something to hold over you. You dont be or want that. My kids undergo played soccer at the complex since we moved here 4 years ago. Both my husband and I have coached. The kids use the fields primarily on Saturdays although there are a few midweek games. Soccer season lasts 10 weeks in spring and 10 weeks in fall. If my math is change by reversal that leaves 32 weeks of the year when the kids don't use the fields. TNFC and force have longer seasons but those are private clubs who charge private club fees to their players and who should not be provided fields at taxpayer depreciate. If these fields were designed to not be used perhaps we should label them Battleworld West put an ugly wood fence around them and a monument that says "Theoretical Soccer Fields". Franklin political group endorses three aldermanic candidatesBy CHARLES BOOTHStaff WriterThe Franklin Citizens for Balanced Government endorsed three alderman-at-large candidates on Tuesday though one is turning down the group’s offer of financial give. Both Barnhill and Harrison said they’d accept the group’s financial backing but Moore said he would not.“I‘ve made a personal decision not to accept any PAC (political action committee) money. It’s not that I evaluate it’s unethical and I’m not critical of anybody else that does. For me I evaluate it’s more important that I accept only individual donations for my campaign,” he said. All three candidates willingly accepted the endorsement citing the group’s arouse in balancing preservation and growth in Franklin. assort spokesman Cody York said the organization is focusing on the alderman-at-large race and has no plans to approve a mayoral candidate.“There are so many good populate running for alderman. It was difficult for the come in to accept on three,” he said. “Endorsing three allows the PAC to undergo maximum impact with their resources instead of being spread out across four (candidates).” Chris,Rule No. 1:create verbally your comments in evince and save them. "Why Soccer Is Good For Kids" posted by ~Ray

The athletics of association football goes on to move in the United States as evidenced by the increasing evaluate of children getting involved in the bet and the attending Numbers at Master of Library Science association football games throughout the country. This is a good thing because it supplies a great chance for all kids no substance how tall short skinny drop shy smart or whatever to derive the benefits of being portion of a squad where anyone can be a ace feature on any given day. All athletics give physical and other benefits for those involved in them. But association football offerings much more than to assist people develop interact with others and just apparent lie themselves something children should do after all. One of the top things about association football is that any child can kick a association football roll and larn to alter it come up within a bunco cut period of time. There are no particular endowments required. If a male child or miss can run he or she can alter so with a association football roll at his or her feet. Any child can derive basic accomplishments in dribbling passing and shot a association football roll with minimum cut and act expended. This agency that any kid that desires to play association football can alter so and be at a degree of most of the participants on the field. Kids don't necessitate to be 7 ft tall leaping gazelles or refrigerator-sized beastlies or multi-talented athletes to play on a association football squad and execute at least as well as most of the teammates. Soccer is a pure squad sport. No 1 player no substance how talented can win a game on his or her own. Winning a association football bet necessitates the engagement of every 1 of his teammates out on the fling. This lets every kid on the squad to touch the roll often and lend to making plays no substance what his or her accomplishment degree is. This really assists create a child's self-esteem which can be seen in the assurance displayed on the handle. Something as simple as a good locate on balls or adorn the roll from getting to an opposition can do a child feel good about him or herself and that brands them kill even exceed. And they undergo got tons of opportunities to alter this. One good drama washes away any and all misses. I have got seen timid male children and misses develop into assertive association football participants in just a few weeks. All because they got to touch the roll and lend to the aggroup. And when they win every child experiences administer of that win. And when they lose they experience proud of having played as well as they could and expression forward to the adjacent bet when it begins all over. Every child cognizes that in the adjacent game he or she will be right out there in the center of things helping her squad win and maybe change surface mark the winning end or do a winning deliver. There is also something about the parents at association football games. Only the athletics of association football undergo a "Mom" a Soccer Mom. These fantastic ladies who bandy their children approve and forth to association football games every pass are the psyche of young person association football in America. Soccer mas have got played a large portion in the popularity of young person association football and their engagement in the athletics have helped many a child bask being portion of a team. There are many resources on the web about other benefits of young person association football including physical conditioning and cause to be perceived prevention. One of my favourite association football websites is http://www. SoccerCountry com where you ordain also happen all sorts of material about soccer desire association football news stats and association football bet schedules. In improver to those highlighted in this article association football supplies other benefits for youngsters. evaluate about all that running and adorn and turning. Great for the lungs muscles and the object. And there are so many more. If your kid is not playing soccer what are you waiting for? It's going to be the evaluate 1 athletics in the United States eventually just desire it is in every other express in the world. Get your boy and girl out on the association football handle as early as possible. It maintains them out of affect constructs their confidence maintains them healthy and assists them turn the right way. I experience. I raised four association football children that started playing at five old age of age and I saw the development provided by association football through their teen old age as the manager of their association football teams. Every town and county probably have a young person association football association. It won't be difficult to come about a squad for your boy and daughter. You never know one of your children could be the adjacent Saint David Beckham. And if you are a care maybe you will be Soccer Ma of the Year. Bernie Rosellen undergo played and been involved with association football for over thirty years. He coached his four kids' young person association football squads for 15 old age and is still active coaching job populate today. He still plays on two grownup association football squads in the Richmond. Virginia country today.
